This sweet double sided shirt promotes Hawaii's original beer, Primo. This tee features Chance 'Um a cartoon mascot that was used in the 80s. The inspiration for his name came from a common Pidgin phrase that translates to something along the lines of "go for it", and he used to appear alongside a canine companion that was named after another Pidgin phrase, Howzit.

Primo Beer was first brewed by the Honolulu Brewing & Malting Company near the start of the 20th century. It was later acquired by Schlitz, and during the 70s, Primo became responsible for the majority of Hawaii's beer sales. Chance 'Um wasn't introduced until after Schlitz was bought by the Stroh Brewery Company, and it was also during that era that they switched the beer's packaging from brown to green bottles.
