This awesome packaged t-shirt features an incredible graphic of the Marvel superhero team the X-Men, fighting off a horde of cybernetically enhanced villains known as the Reavers. Showcased are core members of the X-Men: Wolverine, Storm, and Colossus. This image was used as a cover for the series Uncanny X-Men, during the Chris Claremont era of the comic. Claremont wrote for Uncanny X-Men for nearly two decades, and during that time he transformed the series into one of Marvel's most popular titles. He also introduced a number of popular new characters that included Rogue, Psylocke, Gambit, Emma Frost, Jubilee, and Sabretooth.

The art featured here comes from the cover of Uncanny X-Men #229, in which the team are teleported to Australia to do battle with the Reavers, most notably Bonebreaker, Pretty Boy, and Skullbuster. This was the first time these villains were introduced, and the Reavers would later appear in numerous other Marvel titles.

This cover image was drawn by Marc Silvestri, who went on to become the CEO of Image Comics and Top Cow Productions. It was also inked by Dan Green, an artist who worked for both Marvel and DC, who had the pleasure of inking the work of talented illustrators such as John Byrne, Keith Giffen, Steve Ditko, Bernie Wrightson, and Jack Kirby.
