For the first half of the 90s, Arsenal was managed by former team member George Graham, and under his leadership they earned the Football League title in both 1989 and 1991. During the 1990-1991 season, the team only lost one match and their success continued throughout the decade. In 1993, the Gunners earned a double and they followed this with a European Cup Winners' Cup victory in 1994. They also nearly became the first club to ever retain  their UEFA Cup Winner's Cup title, as they made it all the way to the final the following year.
