This awesome tee commemorates a performance of the Tony Award-winning, Tony Kushner play, Angels in America, which ran during the fall of 1992 at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. The play, whose full title reads Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, is set in the United States in the 1980s, and it examines the effect of the AIDS crisis and the decade's treatment of the gay community.

This production of the show, which is split into two parts, actually preceded its run on Broadway. The play was first commissioned by co-artist directors Oskar Eustis and Tony Taccone, who performed the first part as a workshop at the Mark Taper Forum in 1990. Once the second part of the show was developed, Eustis and Taccone brought it back to the Forum for a full production, which was the same one that's celebrated on this t-shirt. This staging marked the premiere of the second part of the show titled, Perestroika.

Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. There is a repair on the front, see pics.
