This awesome shirt pays tribute to the notoriously campy live action comic book movie, Batman & Robin. The 1997 movie was the second Batman adaptation to be directed by Joel Schumacher, but unlike 1995's Batman Forever, this movie saw George Clooney donning the cape and the cowl to take on the role of the World's Greatest Detective. Meanwhile Chris O'Donnell reprised his role as Robin, while Alicia Silverstone was added to the cast as Batgirl. In the role of the villains, the movie featured Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who delivered 27 ice puns, as Mr. Freeze.

Batman & Robin was a major box office bomb, to the extent that Clooney used to offer refunds to anyone who had seen it. Despite this, the movie holds a special place in the hearts of those who love a classic so-bad-it's-good piece of cinema. Uma Thurman was actually grateful for the opportunity, as it was her first real experience working on a film with such an immense budget. The movie's commercial failure also marked a major turning point for comic book adaptations, as it forced Hollywood to rethink their approach to comic book media. President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige even called it, "the most important comic book movie ever made", suggesting that without Batman & Robin, there might never have been a Marvel Cinematic Universe.
