This awesome vintage t-shirt promos the short-lived animated series based off the iconic stoner comedy Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. The original Bill & Ted movie was released in 1989 and it starred Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter as a pair of valley boy slackers that travel through time to complete their high school history report. The animated series brought back the concept of the time-traveling phone booth used in the movie and the character of their mentor Rufus, as portrayed by legendary comedian George Carlin.

This shirt is from the first season of the show which was produced by Hanna-Barbera and featured Reeves, Winter, and Carlin all reprising their roles for the voice cast. For the second season the series switched production companies and began airing on Fox Kids. Fox had also made plans to launch a live action series and because of this they recast the leads in order to match the live action series. Evan Richards was recast as the voice of Bill and Christopher Kennedy was recast as Ted. The live action series did not last long, and the animated series was canceled after the second season.
