This cool kid's tee features Cookie Monster, one of the many beloved Muppet characters to appear on the children's television program, Sesame Street. Known for his voracious love of cookies, Cookie Monster was based on one of three unused character designs that Jim Henson created for a scrapped General Foods commercial. He appeared during Sesame Street's premiere episode in 1969, but it took some time for the program to fully flesh out his character. In 1971, Cookie Monster first performed "C Is For Cookie", and the delightful tune became one of Sesame Street's best known songs.
