This awesome tee is a souvenir from Universal Studios Hollywood, and it pays homage to their former attraction Backdraft. Backdraft was a special effects show based on the 1991 film of the same name, which centered on a group of Chicago firefighters. The movie starred Kurt Russell, William Baldwin, and Scott Glenn, and it was a critical and commercial success, which prompted Universal to begin work on a live-action attraction that they could incorporate into their theme park.

Backdraft invited guests onto a soundstage where they could experience some of the pyrotechnics used in the movie firsthand. After an introductory pre-show, guests were led onto a set resembling the movie's climatic warehouse scene. Then they were treated to a series of controlled fires that were created using flammable gases. Like many of Universal's attractions, Backdraft was designed to make guests feel like they were actually experiencing the action of the popular film.
