This awesome shirt is decorated with a sweet iron on graphic of the DC Comics character, Lobo. This alien mercenary was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, and first introduced to the DC universe in a 1983 issue of Omega Men. The graphic on this tee is based on the cover for the first issue of the 1990 miniseries, Lobo: The Last Czarnian. This illustration was drawn by Simon Bisley, who was largely responsible for Lobo's immense popularity in the 90s.
It wasn't until Bisley helped to revamp the character, that Lobo really started to gain significant popularity with fans. Intended to be a parody of the gritty comic characters of the 1990s, Bisley's new design transformed Lobo into a tough-looking space biker that was a total hit with fans. He became one of the most popular DC characters of the decade, and audiences were especially delighted by Lobo's dark humor and over-the-top violence. In addition to several miniseries and specials, Lobo became the star of his own eponymous comic book, which ran from 1993 to 1999.
