This unique double sided t-shirt is for a little known musical group from Canada called Michael B & the Power. The band released a handful of tracks in the early 90s, including two singles "Bodylanguage" and "Let Me Be The One". The singles were released by a company called Purple Hive Records, and the band also produced a sole EP called For Promotional Use Only, which was recorded with a different label, Hulen Enterprises.

The eponymous Michael B. who is depicted on this shirt, was actually named Michel Benac, and he was a French-Canadian singer-songwriter from Ontario. Michael B. & the Power was an early musical venture for Benac, who later gained more recognition for his other band LGS, which stood for Le Groupe Swing. LGS became an award winning band known for their urban folk, or neo-trad, music. It's likely that Benac took some of the influences he used during his time with Michael B. & the Power and applied them to the development of this emerging genre.
