This awesome tee is a throwback to the early days of Q102's Monster Concerts. This shirt promotes the second ever Monster Concert, that was held by the Philadelphia radio station in 1990. At the start of 1989, WIOQ-FM switched from oldies to a rhythmic contemporary format, playing top 40 hits with a lean towards more dance and urban musicians. The station's rebrand was promoted with the launch of their Monster Concerts, which used to feature a variety of contemporary and freestyle artists. The first ever Monster Concert in 1989 even featured a performance from Philly native, Will Smith. Throughout the 90s, Q102 hosted the concerts at the Mann Music Center, and shows included performances from artists like Boyz II Men, Salt-N-Pepa, Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam, Sweet Sensation, and Naughty by Nature.
