This rad shirt remembers the 1992 Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom. It was most likely made by a Pennsylvania chapter of the Rolling Thunder organization. Rolling Thunder is a veterans organization founded by two Vietnam vets who were dissatisfied with the governments efforts to repatriate prisoners of war. The group organized the first Ride for Freedom in 1992 which saw over 2,500 bikers ride to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. to demand action. The Ride for Freedom has continued to be organized by Rolling Thunder annually every 4th of July weekend and attendance has skyrocketed, with over 900,000 bikers attending some years.
