Adidas is a German company that started back in 1924 in Dassler household with brothers and founders' Adolf and Rudolf. Overtime it grew to become the second largest athletic wear company in the world, second only to Nike. Their famous trefoil logo was bought from the Finnish footwear company Kahru Sports after the 1952 Olympics for two bottles of whiskey and 1600 euros. The logo was used on their products up until 1998, and then was reserved only for their "Adidas Originals" line. Their 3 stripe signature however has been used for almost their entire history, earning them the nickname "the three stripes company".
