This awesome double-sided tee was designed to resemble the uniform of one of the most beloved characters in the DC Comics universe, Batman. This shirt is copyright 1989, the same year that the Caped Crusader was brought to the silver screen via a live action film directed by Tim Burton. This was Burton's first big budget movie, and the director was granted the opportunity following the success of his previous release, Beetlejuice. Burton chose to cast Beetlejuice's, Michael Keaton in the role of Batman, a controversial pick since Keaton was considered too much of a comedic actor at the time, to take on the role of the brooding hero. However, Keaton's performance proved successful, although it was nothing compared to the delightful portrayal given by Jack Nicholson in the role of Batman's nemesis, The Joker.
