This amazing 80s tee comes from BET's Rap City, a hip hop television show similar to Yo! MTV Raps. This shirt features Mellow Man Ace, Mantronix, and Oaktown's 357 on the backside.

Rap City featured hip hop music videos, interviews, and freestyle sessions with guest rappers and DJs. But what set Rap City apart from its MTV counterpart is that it also featured up and coming rappers, while MTV Raps solely featured popular artists.

Rap City first premiered on BET in 1989, originally hosted by Chris Thomas who was also known as The Mayor of Rap City. Thomas left the show in 1991, and would be replaced by Hans Dobson, Prince Dejour, Joe Clair, Leslie Segar, Big Tigger, Mad Linx, J-Nicks, and Q-45 respectively.

In 1990 the show put out a compilation album that featured a number of various hip hop artists from the era. Songs off the album included "My Doc's" by Kiss AMC, "Hey Ladies" by the Beastie Boys, "Take Me Like I Am" by Spunkadelic, and MC Hammer's iconic "Can't Touch This". Other artists featured were U Crew, Mantronix, Mellow Man Ace, Oaktown's 3-5-7 and Partners In Kryme who contributed "Turtle Power", a song which was featured on The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, a soundtrack that oddly enough also featured M.C Hammer and Spunkadelic.

This shirt fits like a modern unisex adult Medium. There is slight fading on the sleeve, see pics.
