This great ringer tee is from the 1983 U.S. Figure Skating Championship in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This championship was called "The Great Skate", and medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating and ice dancing. The men's singles winner Scott Hamilton had won the previous 2 years and would go on to win the following year, as well as a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
