This awesome double-sided tee celebrates the iconic musician Iggy Pop. Often referred to as the "Godfather of Punk", Iggy Pop first rose to prominence in the late 60s, as the lead singer of the band The Stooges. The back of this tee proudly bears the words "Raw Power", which was the title of the third studio album released by Iggy and the Stooges. This album was produced by Iggy himself, and he recruited his friend David Bowie to assist him with the post-production. Since its release in 1973, Raw Power has gained acclaim as a cult hit that paved the way for the punk rock genre. It's also been praised for inspiring a number of different artists that range from Henry Rollins to Kurt Cobain.

This shirt is copyright 1988, a year in which Iggy Pop spent his summer touring in support of his most recent studio album, Instinct. While the album wasn't a hit with mainstream audiences, its hard rocking sound did remind many of his early career with the Stooges. The album also included the notable single "Cold Metal", which earned Pop a Grammy nomination in the category of Best Hard Rock/Metal performance.
