This vintage shirt includes a graphic of the USS Bowfin, a Balao-class submarine which belonged to the United States Navy. The back of the shirt includes an image of the submarine's badge and flags representing the enemy vessels it has sunk. The submarine was first launched in December of 1942. It was later given to the Pacific Fleet Submarine Memorial Association and it was transformed into the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii right next to the USS Arizona Memorial Visitor Center. Guests can tour the submarine and listen to a narration about life on the vessel during World War II.
