This sweet vintage tee is for the English rock band Whitesnake, and it features a portrait of their frontman David Coverdale. The shirt was made to commemorate the band's 1987 promotional tour, for their eponymous album that was released the same year. This was the band's seventh studio album, and it introduced audiences to a new, more modern glam metal look and sound from the band. The album became a commercial success that lasted ten weeks at number two on the Billboard chart. It also spawned two of Whitesnake's most successful charting singles, "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love".
Whitesnake was originally formed in 1978, after Coverdale left his previous band, Deep Purple. He put together Whitesnake to serve as his new backing band, and since then he has remained their sole consistent member.
