This amazing vintage tee celebrates the character Barney Fife, as portrayed by Don Knotts. Barney Fife was one of the central characters featured on The Andy Griffith Show, and other cast members consisted of Andy Griffith as Andy Taylor, Francis Bavier as Bee Taylor, and Ron Howard as Opie. Many fans fondly remember the beloved sitcom and its whistle based theme song, that was titled "The Fishin' Hole". The role of Barney Fife earned Don Knotts five Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Comedy.

After his time on the show Knotts went on to star in several films including The Incredible Mr. Limpet, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, and The Reluctant Astronaut. In 1979 he became a series regular on another popular sitcom, Three's Company. Knotts also starred in a series of slapstick comedies beside Tim Conway, who was known for his roles on McHale's Navy and The Carol Burnett Show. These movies included The Apple Dumpling Gang, The Prize Fighter, The Private Eyes, and Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo.
