This shirt commemorates the 1998 team, who earned the bulls their sixth and final NBA Championship victory of the decade. The team was coached by Phil Jackson and it featured Hall of Fame players like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman.

The Bulls entered the season as the two-time defending NBA champions, and when they defeated the Utah Jazz during the Finals, they secured their second three-peat win in only eight years. The Bulls had met the Jazz in the Finals the previous year as well and this time they defeated them in six games.

During the season Michael Jordan earned his fifth NBA Most Valuable Player Award as well as his third All-Star Game MVP Award, which was a great end to his highly successful career, as he announced his second retirement. Jordan would make another comeback in 2001 though, when he played for the Washington Wizards.
