This awesome all over print t-shirt promotes the blockbuster movie Jurassic Park released in 1993. The movie was directed Steven Spielberg and based off the novel of the same name written by Michael Crichton, who also helped to write the screenplay alongside David Koepp. Before the book was even published, several studios put in bids for film rights, with Spielberg and Universal Studios acquiring them for $1.5 million.
The movie details a fictional amusement park where a wealthy business man, John Hammond, has employed several scientists to use ancient DNA to re-create living dinosaurs for the entertainment of the modern world. Things take a turn for the terrifying, when a power outage causes a small group of guests to be trapped in the park with little to no means of protection against the formally extinct predators.
The movie was the highest grossing film of 1993 as well as the highest grossing film of all time until its record was broken by Titanic in 1997. The movie also was revolutionary in terms of special effects, employing a mixture of groundbreaking computer generated imagery with life sized animatronics built by Stan Winston who had also worked on iconic films like The Terminator, Aliens, and The Thing. These landmark special effects helped the film to win three Academy Awards.
