This cool double-sided tee was made for the German industrial band KMFDM. Despite jokes and rumors that the band's name stands for "Kill Motherfucking Depeche Mode", it's actually an initialism for the grammatically incorrect German phrase "Kein Mehrheit Fur Die Mitleid" which is typically loosely translated as "no pity for the majority". The rumor that the name stood for something else was actually started by the band around the time that this shirt was made. As the group gained the attention of American audiences, KMFDM decided to tease American journalists with this false rumor ragging on Depeche Mode.

This shirt celebrates the band's fifth studio album, Naive, which was released in 1990, and the back of the tee includes the name of the track "Die Now-Live Later". Since its release, the album has actually become a rare collector's item. This is because the record was out of print for more than a decade due to copyright infringement involving unauthorized samples of  a recording of "O Furtuna" from the cantata Carmina Burana.
