This sweet 90s tee promotes the Canadian rock band, Rush. More specifically, this tee celebrates the band's fourteenth studio album Roll the Bones. Rush was first formed in the late 60s, and they released their debut self-titled album in 1974. In the 70s, they gained success with their prog rock sound, and their popularity grew in the 80s, as they developed a more synthesizer-heavy style. Roll and Bones was released in 1991, and this record saw the band return to a more guitar-oriented sound. The album wound up being a commercial success, and it reached the top 3 of the Billboard 200.
Rush has always had an extremely committed and loyal fan base. They were a huge influence on many of the most successful bands of the 90s including Metallica, Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Iron Maiden, Smashing Pumpkins and Soundgarden.
This shirt showcases the album art from Roll the Bones, which was designed by a longtime collaborator of the band, Hugh Syme. In 1992, the packaging earned Syme and the band a Juno Award for Best Album Design.
