This sweet vintage tee promos the animated sci fi adventure series Johnny Quest. The original iteration of the series first aired back in 1964. It followed the titular characters as he accompanied his scientist father on a collection of exciting adventures. This shirt promotes the 1996 continuation of the series that was broadcast on Cartoon Network and titled The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest. This version of the series followed a teenage Johnny Quest and his friends Hadji Singh and Jessie Bannon. This show also introduced the concept of a virtual realm known as Questworld, which was created using computer animation.

The show was unfortunately burdened with behind the scenes drama and development problems, and after failing to gain the attention of its target audience, the show was canceled after 52 episodes. This was the last Hanna-Barbera television series to be distributed by Turner before the company was taken over by Warner Bros. and it was also the last Johnny Quest related project to be directly overseen by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.
