This awesome double-sided t-shirt celebrates one of the most iconic alternative rock bands of the 1990s, Tool. This shirt is copyright 1991, dating it to back before the band had even released their debut EP Opiate. The back of the t-shirt includes a logo designed by Cam de Leon that blends phallic imagery with a wrench. This logo appeared on the front of the band's 1991 demo tape titled 72826. The demo was released in very limited qualities, with probably only somewhere between 100 and 2000 copies in existence. The demo's title was chosen because the numbers spell out Satan, if they are dialed on a touch-tone telephone.

Tool was formed in Los Angeles in the late 1980s and they performed locally around the LA area until they were eventually signed by Zoo Entertainment. The band quickly established their harsh sound and provocative imagery and lyrics. Their 1992 EP Opiate, was actually named after a Karl Marx quote that read, "religion...is the opiate of the masses", and their first ever music video, for the single "Hush", made clear their negative views towards the at-the-time prominent censorship group, Parents Music Resource Center. In the video band members appeared naked with a parental advisory sticker covering their genitalia and strips of duct tape over their mouths.

Since their debut, Tool has remained a dominant act of alternative metal. They are known for their incorporation of visual arts, and their long and complex releases helped to make them pioneers of the art rock revival of the 1990s.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is a repair on the front and the back, see pics.
