Hank Williams III is the grandson of Hank Williams. He was born in Nashville in 1972 and he chose to follow in his grandfather's footsteps by pursuing music, but Williams went down his own unique path by incorporating elements of heavy metal and punk into his country stylings, allowing him to excel in the genres of pyschobilly and cowpunk.

Over the years Williams has released eleven studio albums, some with Curb Records and some that he produced independently. He has also played in the heavy metal bands Assjack and Superjoint Ritual, and the hardcore punk band Arson Anthem.
