This vintage race tee features a beautiful rainbow graphic that celebrates the Kolekole Chapel 10K Fun Run event that was held in 1983. The cross country event took place at the Kolekole Pass found in the Waianae mountain range. Nicknamed the "The Warrior's Pass", there is a legend that ancient Hawaiian communities used to challenge one another for the right to pass at Kolekole. This 10K race was organized by Schofield Chapel, a Christian protestant chapel in the town of Wahiawa. This shirt also features a cross on the front, and in the 1920s, army chaplains began erecting wooden crosses along the Kolekole Walking Path where soldiers could gather for Easter sunrise services.
