This amazing vintage punk t-shirt is for the iconic English rock band The Clash. The shirt is from one of their seventeen shows at Bond's Casino in Times Square, New York City in 1981. The concerts were in support of their album Sandinista!. The venue was a actually converted from an old  Bond's department store into a music hall. The promoters oversold the first night by selling 3500 tickets to a hall with the capacity of only 1750. The New York City Fire Department canceled the show on the 30th of May in response, but the band showed loyalty to their fans by extending their performance dates until the 13th of June. They also criticized the promoters for their greed.

This particular series of concerts at Bond's Casino is seen as very unique because at the time the band was coming out of their era of cult status, and entering their period of major label commercial success. The set list began with "London Calling" followed by more Clash classics like "This Is Radio Clash", "Bankrobber", and "Washington Bullets".

Their album Sandista! was produced by Mikey Dread and recorded under the CBS and Epic labels. Sandista! was their fourth album, but was also a triple length album with 36 tracks. The Clash released three singles to support album sales: "The Call Up", "Hitsville UK", and "The Magnificent Seven".
