This awesome shirt commemorates the 1982 edition of the Budweiser Superfest. This touring music festival ran annually throughout the 80s and 90s, and it used to showcase some of the greatest R&B acts of the 20th century. For the 1982 Superfest, the lineup included performances from Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Kool and the Gang, Sister Sledge, Maze with Frankie Beverly, Quincy Jones with Patti Austin and James Ingram, Luther Vandross, and Smokey Robinson.
Concert goers who attended the August 1st date at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena were also granted a special treat, when Michael Jackson made a surprise appearance at the show. Although it would still be a few months before the singer would release his legendary album Thriller, fans were still pleasantly surprised to see the King of Pop join Patti Austin, James Ingram, Louis Johnson, and Asford & Simpson on stage.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There is a very small hole on the front, see pics.
