This rad sweatshirt is a keepsake from the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. Often referred to as the Centennial Olympic Games, the '96 event was the 100th anniversary of the modern Olympiad. Atlanta 1996 saw Team USA top the medal table for the first time since '84 with 101 medals. Notable performances include tennis player Andre Agassi's gold medal win and the US Women's Gymnastics team, a.k.a the Magnificent Seven, winning the country's first ever gold medal in artistic gymnastics team all-around. In honor of the Olympics' 100th anniversary, Atlanta built Centennial Olympic Park which has since helped revitalize the city's downtown area.
