This sweet vintage tank top was made by Roach, one of the most iconic t-shirt manufacturers of the 1960s and 70s. The company helped to popularize graphic tees with their awesome artwork and impressive range of inventory. Much of their success was thanks to Ed Newton, who had previously been the principle artist at Roth Studios. Newton supplied Roach with the iconic art that they became known for, and he had connections to some of the era's most sought after illustrators, including Robert Crumb, Rick Griffin, Stanley Mouse, and David Mann.

This shirt advertises a business called Willies on Broadway in Columbus, Georgia. There's nothing indicating what Willies was, but the graphic is quintessential Roach, and one of the figures even parodies R. Crumb's famous "Keep on Truckin'" comic. The address on this tee plants Willies at the center of Columbus State University's RiverPark campus, hinting that it may have been a popular spot among local college students.

Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There is a hole on the front and a repair on the back, see pics. This shirt is short, please double check measurements.
