This cool vintage band tee is for the Dickies, a Los Angeles based punk band that was first formed back in 1977, making them one of the longest tenured punk bands with over 40s years of music under their belt. Over the years the Dickies have come to be known for their catchy melodies and pop like song structures which they pair with speedy punk rock guitar riffs and humorous lyrics.

This shirt is from the 80s, after the band had gained significant popularity with their two albums released with A&M Records, The Incredible Shrinking Dickies and Dawn of the Dickies. By that point the group had gained notoriety for their covers of "Nights in White Satin" and the "Banana Splits (Tra La La Song)".

The decade started out rather roughly for the band, when member Chuck Wagon committed suicide after a Dickies performance in the summer of 1981. The momentum of the band slowed down following this event but they still managed to release a new record in 1983 titled Stukas Over Disneyland. They still earned money playing live shows and shared the stage with bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Janes' Addiction, T.S.O.L., Dead Milkmen, The Ramones, and Faith No More, and also recorded the title song for the 1988 cult comedy horror film Killer Klowns From Outer Space.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large. This shirt is distressed. It has fading, small holes, and a larger hole near the shoulder, see pics.
