This awesome shirt is for the band Green Day and it commemorates their tour promoting their 1997 album Nimrod. This shirt also has a graphic on the sleeve for 103.9 WXEG, an Ohio alternative rock station that was known as 103.9 The Edge.

By this point in time, Green Day had already achieved mainstream success with their 1994 major label debut, Dookie. Nimrod was released through the same label Reprise Records, although it failed to reach the same level of success as this previous album. Still, Nimrod made it to the top ten of the Billboard 200, and it would eventually reach double platinum status.

This album featured the singles "Hitchin' a Ride", "Redundant", and "Nice Guys Finish Last", but one of the most notable tracks to come from this release wound up being "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)". Billie Joe Armstrong had originally written the song to be featured on the album Dookie, but it was decided that tonally the song didn't fit with the rest of the tracks. The song would later become a go-to for events like graduations and school dances, and it was even featured in the last episode of Seinfeld to air before the series finale.
