This awesome shirt pays tribute to the collectible card game C-23, which was based on an original science fiction concept created by the legendary comic book artist Jim Lee. Lee was one of the founders of Image Comics, and it was through them that he published a series of tie-in comics that were also titled C-23. Meanwhile the card game was released through Wizards of the Coast, and it was the first to use their ARC System. The game was also compatible to be played with their two other ARC System card games, Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journey.

C-23 was designed to be a beginner-friendly game, and all 162 cards included in the base set fell into one of four categories: Resource, Character, Combat and Action. The game's story was set in an apocalyptic future where humanity was forced to live underground. It also featured cybernetically enhanced soldiers who were sent to the surface to try and reclaim the planet from a race of horrifying humanoid insects.
