This cool vintage tank celebrates the wrestling tag team the Legion of Doom. This tag team, which was started by Michael Hegstrand and Joseph Laurinaitis, originally began wrestling together under the name The Road Warriors in the early 80s. The duo modeled their gimmick after the 1981 Mad Max film, The Road Warrior, and they would appear in the ring wearing face paint, spiked dog collars, and large spiked armor.

This shirt was made in the early 90s, after the pair joined the World Wrestling Federation. When they made their WWF debut, Vince McMahon decided to change their moniker to the Legion of Doom, as he felt there were already too many pro wrestlers with the word "warrior" in their title. Despite this change, the pair were still individually known as Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal.
