This vintage Boys Scouts t-shirt is from all the way back in the 60s and it celebrates the 1960 edition of the National Scout Jamboree. The 1960 iteration of the event was also the BSA Golden Jubliee, celebrating 50 years of the Boy Scouts of America. The jamboree took place at Colorado Springs in Colorado just near Pikes Peak Mountain. The Jamboree was the centerpiece of the scouts' anniversary events and it amassed over 50,000 scouts in attendance, while those that could not attend participated in their own local activities.

Some celebrity guests at the Jamboree included televisions stars James Arness from Gunsmoke, and Lorne Green and Dan Blocker from Bonanza, as well as astronaut Edward White, and Mt. Everest climber James Whittaker. President Dwight D. Eisenhower also made an appearance and he was presented a jamboree neckerchief and slide.
