This bright orange jersey was made all the way back in the 60s by the Southern Athletic brand. Southern Athletic was a division of Russell Mills, and it was created by the company in the 40s, in response to the growing popularity of athletic clothing lines. This jersey is made from a cotton rayon blend, a popular choice for athletic uniforms in the mid century, as the rayon allowed for a sleek and vibrant appearance, while the cotton kept the garments durable yet breathable. This jersey was also made in the era when iron on lettering became commonplace. Prior to the 60s, most jersey numbers were stitched on. Because iron on letters were much quicker and easier to apply, uniform manufacturers were much more willing to include things like team names or players' names. This particular jersey reps the number fourteen on both the front and the back, and it also has the name Preston.

Fits like a modern unisex adult small. There is some discoloration under the arms, see pics.
