This sweet vintage shirt celebrates the original KDAY radio station that used to be broadcast on 1580 AM. The station first signed on in 1948, but this shirt was made in the 70s, after KDAY had been upgraded to broadcast both day and night. Based out of Redondo Beach, California, KDAY spent most of its history as a soul and R&B station. Later, under the leadership of Greg Mack, the station added hip hop music into their repertoire, and some of their earliest mixer DJs were future rap icons DJ Yella Boy and Dr. Dre.
