This awesome shirt is a vintage motocross jersey celebrating the Swedish racing legend, Lars Larsson. Larsson came to America in the 1960s to race for Husqvarna Motorcycles, and he helped the brand to establish a dealership network across the US. He had been part of a national championship winning team in Sweden, when he was recruited to sell Husqvarna bikes in America. Despite speaking very little English when he first arrived, Larsson traveled across the nation recruiting dealerships to join the Husqvarna sales network during the week, and then racing on weekends.
His work helped to pioneer a burgeoning motocross scene in America, and when his contract with Husqvarna was up, Larsson helped establish a brand that would make motocross gear more accessible in the US. This became Torsten Hallman Offroad Racing, or THOR which later became one of the nation's leading motocross equipment and apparel companies. Larsson also continued to race professionally up until the late 1970s, and he spent the decade as one of the leading national enduro riders.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is a small hole on the back of the collar, see pics.
