This sweet shirt commemorates the 1976 Summer Olympic Games that were held in Montreal, Canada. This shirt also has a patch on the sleeve for the Young Olympians of Canada, a youth fitness organization that was established in anticipation of the games. This was the first Olympics ever hosted by the Great White North, and as of 2026 it remains the only instance of Canada hosting the Summer Olympics.

The Soviet Union dominated the medal table with the most gold and the most overall medals. They had also been hoping to host the 1976 games themselves, but they lost the final vote to Montreal. During these games, Margaret Murdock became the first women to ever win an Olympic medal in shooting. Meanwhile, Alex Oakley set a record for the oldest track and field athlete to compete at the Olympics, at 50 years old.
