This funny vintage tee was made by artist and scientist John C. Holden. The graphic was designed by Holden at the end of the 70s to poke fun at tectonic plate deniers. The idea of continental drift likely dates back to before the start of the 20th century, and for much of the beginning of the century scientist discussed and argued over the drift, tectonics and society's historic understanding of geology. By the 70s and 80s, when Holden created this design, the concept of continental drift was largely accepted by the scientific community.
John C Holden, started the International Stop Continental Drift Society, as a satirical organization. The artist figured the joke was obvious, and yet the organization still became overrun by old-school scientist who actually believed continental drift was not real.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small.
