This awesome vintage Beatles shirt is from 1974 and it celebrates 10 years of The Beatles. The Beatles broke up through a complicated process culminating in the very early 1970s. This shirt is most likely a fan shirt from a convention in the 1970s, where people were encouraging The Beatles to get back together, and celebrating the band. It is a super rare original rock n roll collectible.
The Beatles are the best-selling musical act of all time and also hold the record for most number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr began playing together in local clubs around Liverpool and Hamburg in the early 1960s. By 1964 the group had achieved international stardom, breaking sales records and leading the pop culture "British Invasion".
Throughout the 60s the Beatles released several albums including A Hard Day's Night, Beatles For Sale, Help!, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, Abbey Road, and Yellow Submarine. In 1970 they released Let It Be along with the accompanying single "The Long and Winding Road". It was the groups' last single together as McCartney filed suit for the dissolution of the band's contractual partnership. That same year all four members released solo albums. However, the enduring fame of the group encouraged fans to hope the band wasn't over, and several entrepreneurs made public offers to the group for a Beatles reunion concert during the 1970s.
