This race tee is an original keepsake from the Dallas Marathon circa 1980s. It's held up great after all this time and really captures that old shool charm. Features double sided print, lovely poly cotton, and an epic rainbow Adidas trefoil logo on the back.
During this era the Dallas Marathon was known as the Dallas White Rock Marathon. It's a road race hosted by the city of Dallas, Texas and features a 5K, 10K, 1/2 marathon, 50K ultramarathon, and relays. This race is a qualifier for the prestigious Boston Marathon.
The Adidas trefoil logo is among the most recognizable symbols in the world, established after the 1952 Olympics. It was bought from a Finnish footwear company, Kahru Sports, and only cost two bottles of whiskey and 1600 euros. Adidas would continue to use this logo all the way up until 1998, after which it would be exclusively used on a line of clothing known as Adidas Originals.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. Repair on the front left shoulder, see pics. Double sided print, large Adidas logo on the back.
