Before the mid century, t-shirts were mainly relegated to undergarments and sportswear, but this changed with the rise of the graphic tee, and Crazy Shirts was one of the earliest companies to specialize in a wide variety of interesting designs. Common subjects for Crazy Shirts graphics included quirky cartoon characters and images that celebrated the Hawaiian Islands. Another popular theme was tees that promoted fictional joke businesses like this one. This shirt promotes something called Buffalo Beer, and claims the beverage goes "great with chips". So long as those chips aren't also of the buffalo variety, as buffalo chips is another name for dried bison dung.
