This amazing shirt promotes Stanley Kubrick's cult classic masterpiece, A Clockwork Orange, and it features a portrait of Malcolm McDowell in the starring role of Alex. This 1971 film was based on the Anthony Burgess novel of the same name and it chronicled the exploits and attempted rehabilitation of Alex, the leader of a small gang of ultra-violent thugs. Upon it's debut, A Clockwork Orange proved to be an incredibly polarizing and controversial film. Audiences were shocked by the movie's graphic depictions of violence and sexual assault, and it wound up withdrawn from British cinemas and banned in several countries.

Despite this, A Clockwork Orange is considered an impressive piece of influential cinema, one which has been preserved in the National Film Registry. The movie's notoriety was arguably boosted thanks to its controversy, as it sparked provoking discussions about censorship in art. The film was also lauded despite its content, and it received several BAFTA and Academy Award nominations, including one for Best Picture.

Fans of A Clockwork Orange will remember one of its most famous scenes, which features McDowell performing a rendition of "Singing in the Rain". This wasn't included in the original script, but after four days of experimenting Kubrick prompted the actor to try dancing in the scene, and he proceeded to sing the only song he could remember. Kubrick wound up enjoying this take so much, he went ahead and bought the rights to "Singing in the Rain".

Fits like a modern unisex adult small. There are some light spots on the front, see pics.
