This awesome double-sided tee promotes the Canadian hardcore band D.O.A.and it was made for the band's 1983 We Come in Peace Tour. The back of this tee features the same artwork that was used for the 1983 limited edition pressing of their 7 inch single "General Strike". Released through Sudden Death Records, this single was limited to only 1000 copies, and the b-side featured a cover of Frank Sinatra's "That's Life".
Alongside groups like Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, and Black Flag, D.O.A. has often been cited as one of the seminal pioneers of the hardcore punk genre. Their second studio album, Hardcore '81 has even been described as one of the earliest instances of the word "hardcore" being used to describe that style of music.
During the mid 80s, the band's lineup consisted of Joey "Shithead" Keithley, Dave Gregg, Brian "Wimpy Roy" Goble, and Ken "Dmiwit" Montgomery. Together this group released the popular EP War on 45, which featured tracks like "Liar for Hire", "I'm Right, You're Wrong", and "War in the East".
