This vintage tee was specially made for Gary Hart, former front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 1988 election. It's held up great after all this time, preserving that old school charm with awesome graphics, soft poly cotton, and an 80s era Screen Stars tag.

Gary Hart was a strong contender in the 1988 presidential race until a racy photo surfaced with model Donna Rice sitting in his lap in 1987. Rumors of an affair had been circulating for some time, and Hart always denied them. He was so sure that he challenged the media to investigate his private life, stating in an interview with The New York Times "They should follow me around...They'll be very bored." Bold move.

Needless to say, Hart's presidential campaign was over from there. The infamous photo shows the married U.S. Senator from Colorado with the young model Donna Rice planted on his lap during a yacht cruise aboard the boat Monkey Business- ironic.

After 31 years, this incident continues to live on in infamy through retellings, the iconic photograph, and movies like The Front Runner starring Jack Hughman.
