This awesome t-shirt features a vintage map of Hawaii from 1779. This map is reflective of how the British Empire saw the islands, and spelled the Hawaiian names. At the time Hawaii only referred to what is now known as the island of Hawaii, or the Big Island colloquially. The Sandwich Islands refer to the other islands that now make up Hawaii, including Maui, Lanai, Oahu and Kauai.
