This vintage tee reads, "I survived July 5th 1986 Kongfrontation!" and it also features a stressed looking cartoon and the number 31,064. There's not a lot of info surrounding the exact details of this shirt, but most people associate the word Kongfrontation with the Universal Studios' King Kong Encounter, that used to be a part of the Studio Tour at Universal's Hollywood location.

The attraction was actually opened in 1986, just a few weeks before the date on this shirt. It's possible this shirt was made for a member of the Universal staff that worked on the ride. When the ride opened, the 30-foot tall King Kong animatronic was the largest and most complex animatronic that the park had ever created, which certainly could have given staff something to stress over.
